Updates!

So its been a while since I have posted to the blog. I wanted to just update everybody on recent events, etc. Brandon and I found out in November that we are expecting our first, and probably only, child August 2, 08. We don't know what it is yet but everything looks great so far. We are super excited and I will try to keep updates on here.

This is our 9.5 week ultrasound. We have another scheduled for March 4. :)

9 Weeks

I have shot a lot of cool sessions lately and instead of posting a million seperate sessions I will just post one or two images from some of the recent ones. If you want to see the full galleries for any of these sessions, just check them out at http://www.bethanygilbert.com/onlineorders.html.

A while back I got to shoot Aaron Lewis of Staind on his "Have Guitar, Will Travel" tour. He is a really cool guy and an AMAZING vocalist and musician.

Aaron's twice sold out show seemed to spark some interest for our area in the music industry. Since his show, several national bands have performed in the Hattiesburg area, some more than once. Black Stone Cherry & Saliva performed at the Bottling Co. The guys from BSC are super down to earth and were tons of fun to hang out with. Saliva is a little more "rockstar" so we didn't get to speak with them much. Jon Montoya, however, did hang out for a while. Side note - he talks just like Beetle Juice.

So, other than music. I have done several engagements, bridals, seniors, etc. in the past 6 months since I have posted.

Joy and Jared are an awesome couple who came to me for engagements and an after wedding shoot. Their engagment shoot is in a past post.

April & Jonathan's wedding was a ton of fun and their album turned out awesome.

Jeremy is one of my seniors and also one of my really good friends. You may recognize him from the two Idiot Box posts below. His senior portraits were all about the music and his incredibly hilarious personality. This shot is a composite shot of 5 different images. I merged them all in photoshop. In other words, all the guys in the shot are Jeremy.

Tyler is another senior who was great to work with. He wanted some crazy lighting and fashion-type portraits. I can't wait to design his senior album for him. Its going to be great!

Finally, this last image is of my sisters wedding. Krysta and Chris got married Nov. 3 of 2007 and I was her Matron of Honor. As you can guess, this made for a little bit of a complicated situation, since she also wanted me to be her photographer. Luckily, Brandon stepped up and did an awesome job of shooting the ceremony, and I was able to shoot the portraits and reception (after changing out of my gown of course).

Ok - so you are officially updated. Check back often for shots from more sessions as I am going to try to post something every week.
